Quinn and Grant's Virtue Talk #2

As Christian came into the gym fired up to play basketball, he summoned a coach, grabbed a ball and began to shoot. When the hoop was a little too high, Christian took matters into his own hands. He lowered the basket all by himself, showing great perseverance and independence as he solved the problem by advocating for himself.

This week Nicholas did a great job of listening and paying attention to learn new skills. At the beginning of his lesson, we focused on defense and consistently covering a man. After some instruction, however, he was able to consistently guard his man and keep his hands up. On the offensive end, Nicholas had a good attitude when playing “Around the World” even if he missed shots. He accepted the challenge of shooting from different spots on the floor, and showed perseverance to keep trying until he made it: ending the day with a smile on his face!
