Quinn and Grant's Virtue Talk #8

This week, Patrick showed confidence and a strong desire to get better. Patrick came into the Our Place clinic all ready to go. Patrick showed a great desire to get better when he kept trying, while making improvements to his form. He had lots of confidence: he would make his shots, shooting from nearly the three point line! Soon enough, Patrick was on a role as he was swishing around 5, 6, even 7 shots in a row. Patrick moved around the hoop continuously as he made multiple shots in a row. By the end, he was warmed-up for his team’s scrimmage!

Emmett was a fantastic participant this week. He was very focused throughout his lesson. He also showed great determination with his shots and in a game of H.O.R.S.E.. He consistently made layups and was a respectful competitor. He also flashed his knowledge of the NBA when playing categories, naming players from letters A-Z. Overall, Emmett had a great lesson and will look to continue his success next week!

Ryan showed great determination in his session this week from beginning to end. He came in ready to go and never gave up as he kept trying to work on pushing the ball up and forward to reach the basket. After some warmups, he was making shot after shot and went on to win a game of H.O.R.S.E. against two coaches! As the lesson progressed, he developed more confidence and could shoot farther and farther away. By the end, he was playing a one vs. one with a coach and ended up winning the game. Ryan demonstrated great determination throughout.
